Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026 · Effective: 13 September 2026
The short version. The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or store your personal information. Every file you compress or convert is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you use the mobile application described on this website (the "App"). It applies to the App and to this website. It does not apply to any other service, website, or application you may reach from the App.
By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
2. Information we do not collect
The App does not collect personal information. Specifically, it does not:
- require you to create an account, sign in, or provide a name, email address, or phone number;
- upload, copy, or transmit the files you open, compress, or convert;
- collect analytics, usage statistics, crash telemetry, or behavioural data;
- use advertising, advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, or profiling;
- collect your location, contacts, calendars, health data, or microphone or camera input;
- build a profile about you or share information with data brokers.
Because no personal information is collected, none is sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for any purpose, including targeted advertising.
3. Information processed on your device
The App works by processing your files locally. The following stays on your device at all times and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- Files you choose. Documents, images, videos, and archives you select are read, processed, and written back on the device itself.
- Files the App produces. Compressed and converted files are saved in the App's own storage on your device, where you can view, share, or delete them.
- Your preferences. Settings such as default quality, output naming, and whether haptics are enabled are stored locally on the device.
- Usage allowance. A simple count of how many free operations have been used is stored locally so the App knows when the free allowance has been reached. It contains no personal information.
Deleting the App removes this locally stored data from your device.
4. Device permissions
The App asks for permissions only when they are needed for something you have asked it to do:
- Files and documents. When you pick a file, the system file picker hands the App access to that file only. The App cannot browse your device on its own.
- Photos. Selecting photos uses the system photo picker, which shares only the items you choose. Permission to add to your photo library is requested only if you ask the App to save a result back to Photos.
You can review or change these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Optional subscriptions are sold through the App Store. All payments are handled by Apple. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials.
The App asks the operating system whether a valid subscription exists in order to unlock features. Apple may provide the developer with aggregated, anonymised sales and subscription reports in line with Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. If you contact support
If you email support, we receive the address you write from and whatever you choose to include in your message. That information is used solely to answer you, is kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, and is never used for marketing or shared with third parties.
Please do not send confidential documents or personal data by email — describe the problem rather than attaching sensitive files.
7. Third parties
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking software development kits. No data is shared with third parties, because none is collected. The App does not load remote content into the documents it converts.
8. Children's privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). No personal information is knowingly collected from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support email, contact us and it will be deleted.
9. Your rights and choices
Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because no personal data is collected or stored by the App, there is nothing held about you to access, correct, export, or delete.
Where you have sent us an email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time using the contact address below. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under applicable United States privacy laws, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
10. Security
Keeping data on your device is the security model: information that is never transmitted cannot be intercepted in transit or exposed in a server breach, because there is no transmission and no server. Files stored by the App are protected by the operating system's own file protection and by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. You are responsible for keeping your device and its backups secure.
11. International users
The App processes data only on your own device, in whatever country you are in. No international transfer of personal data takes place, because no personal data is transferred at all.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time — for example if a future version of the App adds a feature that changes how information is handled. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be made clear within the App before the affected feature is used. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
